Manager, Service Promotion (Film & Entertainment)

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic, high-calibre and experienced professional to join our Service Promotion Department.

Responsibilities:

The appointee will be responsible for organising HKTDC’s promotional programs and activities for the film and entertainment sectors, including :

  • To initiate entertainment-related marketing plan and execute the marcom and publicity communication activities in local, mainland China, Asian and international markets for achieving the KPI targets
  • To liaise with overseas offices, external and internal parties, including co-organiser, strategic partners, local and overseas trade/industry associations, to develop and implement consolidated marketing programmes and messages
  • To identify and establish relevant partners of media and marketing channels, industry-specific KOL and social media worldwide for boosting the marketing impact for projects
  • To manage photography and video productions, advertising campaigns and content marketing for film and entertainment sectors
  • To conduct local and overseas marketing programmes, such as seminars and roadshows, etc, for generating business enquiries
  • To provide on-site support and other administrative support as and when necessary
  • To take up other adhoc projects and tasks when necessary

Requirements:

  • A recognised university degree with at least 8 years’ working experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; exhibition/event organisation, business development and/or public/corporate relations, etc.
  • Mature with superior skills in sales, business development, marketing and communication
  • Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability, and skills in sales, business development, marketing and communication
  • A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and good at attending to details;
  • Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena;
  • Knowledge of film and entertainment sectors and previous experience in organising exhibition and/or conference would be an added advantage but not a must

Candidates with less solid experience will be offered at Assistant Manager, Service Promotion

Remuneration and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
