About the Job

The Mobile Solutions Partner Engineering team collaborates with ecosystem partners across mobile operating systems, developer tooling, and platform services to enhance the capabilities of native and cross-platform technologies on Android, iOS, and beyond. The team works with OS vendors, app developers, SDK service providers, and OEMs in a dynamic, technology-driven environment, driving innovation in platform architecture, developer tools, and mobile ecosystem enablement.

This role offers the opportunity to work on new and emerging mobile operating systems, helping shape their developer experience, interoperability, and technical foundations. Additionally, you will engage with open-source initiatives and industry collaborations, including Open Mobile Hub (Linux Foundation) and Open Wallet Foundation, to support interoperability, security, and developer experience across mobile platforms. Candidates should be prepared to discuss challenges and opportunities related to these initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design solutions for the evolving mobile ecosystem, spanning operating systems, developer tooling, and platform integrations across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate partner requirements into scalable, platform-level integrations, ensuring compatibility across OS and cross-platform frameworks.
• Engage with OS vendors, toolchain developers, and mobile ecosystem partners to drive adoption of technologies that enhance developer experience, interoperability, and mobile innovation.
• Provide technical guidance on best practices for integrating mobile solutions across different operating systems, including Android, iOS, and cross-platform frameworks like KMP, CMP, Flutter, and React Native.
• Advise on mobile platform architecture, developer tools, and ecosystem integrations to improve compatibility, performance, and extensibility.
• Act as a subject matter expert for cross-platform development, mobile OS internals, and emerging technologies in mobile applications.
• Contribute to thought leadership by creating scalable technical content, including conference talks, blog posts, videos, and partner enablement sessions.
• Help design and maintain a compatibility verification program to support ecosystem adoption across diverse mobile platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience developing mobile applications, mobile platforms, OS integrations, or developer tools for Android, iOS, or cross-platform technologies.
• 10 years of experience in technical troubleshooting and working with internal and external partners in a customer-facing technical role such as developer relations, solutions architect, or technical consultant.
• Strong communication and project management skills, with experience handling multiple partners and workstreams.
• Familiarity with AI and ML concepts, including LLMs, RAG, context retrieval, edge AI, and small language models.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role such as solutions consultant, solutions architect, or sales engineer in a global software enterprise.
• 12 or more years of experience in system design or one or more programming languages such as Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript or Dart.
• Deep expertise in mobile OS architectures, developer tooling, and platform integrations across Android, iOS, and cross-platform technologies.
• Experience with KMP, CMP, Flutter, and React Native to drive cross-platform adoption.
• Experience with Open Mobile Hub (Linux Foundation) and Open Wallet Foundation or similar open-source mobile and wallet interoperability initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with on-device or cloud AI frameworks such as TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile, Core ML, AICore, Gemini Nano, or Gemini.
• Experience integrating AI-driven features in mobile apps, optimizing performance and efficiency for both AI models and mobile functionalities.
• Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred, as this position requires collaboration with teams in China.

Work Location: San Jose, CA, USA

This full-time position base salary range is $164,000 - $ 276,000, depending on job-related skills, years of relevant experience, educational backgrounds, qualifications, and other job-related factors.    The range displayed is for position based in San Jose, California.  Additional details (bonus, benefits, relocation, etc.) of compensation package will be provided to candidates during the interview process.
