Description

Covestic’s SkillBridge ServiceNow Veterans Program seeks to serve those who have served by helping to ease their transition into the civilian world while enabling veterans to put their unique talents to work on behalf of our clients. Partnering with ServiceNow and SkillBridge, the program targets the wide veteran talent pool, forming a skill bridge between military disciplines and world-class consulting.

Covestic has been a ServiceNow partner since 2012 and operates today as an Elite partner with a long-term track record of customer success across some of the most well-known logos and brands in the world. The SkillBridge program will run for a period of 14 weeks with a flex of up to 20 weeks. While much of the program is technically oriented, we also understand the difficulties of career change and military transition which is why our program has built in regular opportunities to address some of those pain points. Participants will have dedicated time for mentorship, job shadowing, resume writing, interview prep, networking, job search, certification, and more.

Candidates will work from their home office and can be located anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in extensive discussion and training around what ServiceNow is, what the platform is capable of, and how that translates into value for thousands of major corporations and organizations worldwide.
  • Participate in foundational instruction into how the platform works, including practical application in real world scenarios.
  • Participate in a series of courses, exercises, and projects in the most widely used and in-demand platform areas and applications including IT Service Management, System Administration, Configuration Management Database, Scripting, Service Portal, Performance Analytics, and Workflow Editor/Flow Designer.
  • Deliver capstone project to put all the skills and training received to the test, followed by some final opportunities for certification, resume and interview prep.

Required Qualifications

  • Active-Duty US Military
  • Within 180 days of separation or will be by the start of the program and have at least 180 continuous days of active service
  • Have or will have completed your service components specific Skillbridge prerequisites prior to starting the program
  • Unit Commander approval to participate in a Skillbridge Program
  • Exhibits a high degree of self-directedness and initiative in the recruitment process
  • Detail-oriented and analytic mindset
  • Problem-solver, curious, persistent.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including civility and flexibility as demonstrated in the recruitment process
  • Willingness and ability to work remotely

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical background or demonstrated experience preferably with a focus on focus on software, networking, or IT systems.
  • Programming or DBMS experience, especially JavaScript
  • Associates degree or equivalent training; Computer science degree
  • Confidential, secret, or top-secret clearance
