Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Industrial Mechanic / Millwright is responsible for installing, aligning, and dismantling of equipment for inspecting and maintaining of equipment.

Responsibilities:
•    Perform quality maintenance work as directed by their supervisor
•    To install, dismantle, assemble, construct, erect, move, replace, inspect, adjust, maintain, and repair mechanical and process equipment and structures throughout mines and plants
•    To install, inspect, service, and test hoisting ropes and shaft conveyances
•    To perform metal welding excluding pressure welding
•    Align with work safety policies and safety regulations
•    Team members are also involved in the development of long-term and short-term maintenance initiatives, practices, and procedures

Qualifications:
•    Basic Underground Common Core 770010 Program (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0012)
•    Strong organizational and time management skills are expected
•    Thorough knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical principles is preferred
•    Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment (hoist, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, mechanical drives, conveyor systems, pumps, overhead cranes) are considered an asset
•    Oxy acetylene cutting and burning
•    Welding tickets are considered an asset
•    Mechanical and hydraulic blueprint reading is considered an asset
•    Trade Certification: A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Red seal trade certificate for the province of Ontario (433A) is required
•    Experience: 4 or more years of industrial experience is preferred
