LTS is seeking a COVID-19 Testing Site Clinican to join our team at mobile COVID-19 testing sites in Central, Spartanburg and Easley, South Carolina.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Testing patients throughout the state of South Carolina for COVID-19.
  • The COVID-19 Testing Clinician reports to the COVID-19 Testing Site lead.
  • The COVID-19 Testing Clinician performs multi-skilled activities to support the safe and efficient testing of patients for COVID-19.
  • The COVID-19 Testing Clinician is expected to perform nasopharyngeal (PCR) swabbing, nasal swabbing, oral swabbing, blood draws for antibody testing, antigen testing, and other testing methodologies as directed.
  • Additional non-clinical roles of which are pertinent to successful testing site operations may be assigned (e.g. traffic directing, patient registration, etc.)
  • The COVID-19 Testing Clinician will be provided with all appropriate training and safety protocols.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities (Specific to COVID-19):

  • While wearing all necessary PPE for safety, the COVID-19 Testing Clinician must be willing to test and interact with potentially COVID-positive patients.
  • Willingness to abide by all LTS PPE and safety protocols
  • Must be able to wear an N-95 mask for periods possibly exceeding two hours
  • Must be willing to commute distances up to or exceeding two hours - mileage reimbursement provided when applicable
  • Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent and meet the requirements for one or more of the following:
    • Patient Care Technician
    • Certified Medical Assistant: Certified through the American Medical Technologist
    • (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • Certified Nursing Assistant
    • Licensed Practical Nurse
    • Registered Nurse
    • EMT Certification
    • Paramedic Certification
    • Nursing Student: Currently enrolled in an accredited institution with the completion of nursing fundamentals course
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Possess ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures and ability to make accurate physical observation of patients.
  • Employee must possess considerable knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy; ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of complex therapeutic procedures; and ability to make accurate physical observation of patients.
  • Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:

  • Active SC (compact state) license/Certification/Registration:
    • Patient Care Technician
    • Certified Medical Assistant: Certified through the American Medical Technologist
    • (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • Certified Nursing Assistant
    • Licensed Practical Nurse
    • Registered Nurse
    • EMT Certification
    • Paramedic Certification
    • Nursing Student: Currently enrolled in an accredited institution with the completion of nursing fundamentals course
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
