Description

LTS is seeking a Junior Project Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Portfolio. The Junior Project Analyst will support administrative functions of the Project Manager. The Health PMO support contract provides IT program management, project management, technical management, financial management, functional planning, and documentation analysis in support of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) Enterprise Program Management Division (EPMD) Health Portfolio

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Support Analyst and Project Manager to plan, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of operating projects 
  • Support and report to the Project Manager and Analyst to prepare and revise all reports and presentations
  • Support Analyst and Project Manager with analytical tasks to make sure the project is supporting its goals and objectives.
  • Must be able to organize and collect reporting among the projects on the program Be responsible for on-time completion of all tasks assigned
  • Lead and Facilitate meetings
  • Ability to elaborate vague requirements and requests to deliver robust products, recommendations and/or solutions
  • Assist with process improvements for current business processes (business process re-engineering).
  • Have strong analytical and investigation skills crafting solutions to challenging problems or issues
  • Understanding and supporting the Agile delivery model, whether Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean Kanban or other iterative development approaches
  • Assisting the project to achieve and maintain Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) maturity levels. 

Requirements:

  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline
  • 5 years of experience (+8 years’ experience can be substituted for degree)
  • PM-related certifications such as SAFe Agilist, CSM, PMP and ITIL are not required, but good to have
  • Familiar with industry standard methodologies (DevSecOps, etc.) and associated tools is a plus
  • Experience with VA development and release processes and tools (GitHub, Jira) is highly desired
  • Strong facilitation and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Experience in all areas of the software development life cycle, enterprise-wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, structure and management practices a plus
  • Must have experience with diverse IT Development projects both large and small preferred
