LTS Chief Medical Officer, COVID Response

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will provide oversight and be responsible for the assurance of interventions for vaccinations and testing, while adhering to the quality of Standards of Practice and Plan of Care for all healthcare interdisciplinary teams.  The CMO will develop and implement policies and protocols to guide interdisciplinary healthcare groups. The CMO will serve as the Quality Assessment performance program evaluator by developing patient care protocols, analyzing current practices; providing improvement plans and corrective action where deemed appropriate.  The CMO is responsible for leading, motivating, and providing guidance to newly developed protocols and policies and oversee the implementation of protocols and policies. The CMO will report to the CEO and work closely with all COVID Testing and vaccine staff members. The ideal candidate will develop business strategies to set LTS apart from other consulting efforts. The ideal candidate must be a Board-Certified Physician with at least five (5) years of clinical experience and an MBA.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with staff and leadership to ensure all COVID-19 programs are delivering excellent Quality of Care.
  • Ensuring that all safety standards and health care regulations are met and maintained.
  • Develop and implement performance quality control protocols.
  • Evaluate, assess and provide corrective action measures for all interdisciplinary staff to ensure quality standard of care plans are met. 
  • Analyze data for COVID-19 Quality and Standards of Care and oversee medical staff to ensure they are meeting Standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the medical staff and management.
  • Provide leadership direction to medical staff by coaching, mentoring, and motivating them to provide excellent care.
  • Work to develop efficient patient care protocols and oversee their implementation.
  • Ensure Federal, State, and Local regulatory compliance is met.
  • Ensure Compliance and Training are adequately met and recorded appropriately.
  • Administering Quality Improvement Plans and Program for Standards of Care.
  • Acts as Medical Liaison for Federal, State and Local Governing bodies and maintains open channels of communication with local public health officials.
  • Analyze and interprets clinical data, develops criteria for best practices.
  • Collaborate with leadership to create plans and strategies for business growth and development.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines from the FDA, CDC, NIOSH, HHS, Moderna, Pfizer, as well any other health authorities.
  • Knowledge about CDC COVID -19 guidance and Coordination of Care.
  • Knowledge about Coronavirus and vaccines for this disease.

Education and Experience or Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • M.D. Doctor of Medicine
  • MBA or advanced business degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing physician.
  • Board Certified Physician and in good standing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Prior experience in an administrative role.
  • Possess a current, valid license to practice medicine.
