LTS is seeking a Project Analyst to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Portfolio. The Project Analyst will be responsible with supporting the PMO Project Managers and VA Project Managers. The Project Analyst will also be responsible for working data calls, recording/tracking action items and notes from VA meetings, schedule coordination (internal and external), and administrative tasks the PMO Project Managers need. This role must be able to conduct special projects requiring a high degree of confidentiality and independence.  The environment is dynamic, demanding and the client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.  The Project Analyst will be developing, gathering and disseminating technical information and documentation among both business and technical customers.

The Health PMO support contract provides IT program management, project management, technical management, functional planning, and documentation analysis in support of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) Enterprise Program Management Division (EPMD) Health Portfolio.

The VA Health Portfolio is focused on development and execution of quality IT projects that address the needs of Veterans and health care providers through management of health care information and sustainment of production software to keep the mission going.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate well with other leaders, teams and stakeholders
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Researches and develops documentation about products and processes based on meetings with managers and subject matter experts
  • Maintain a highly complex professional/administrative workload
  • Responsible for on-time completion of all tasks assigned
  • Must have experience with the analysis of business, both functional and technical activities
  • Responsible for working with users and customers to document and strategize for process improvements for current business processes (business process re-engineering)
  • Ability to gather, validate, and evaluate project, product, and program data to develop ad hoc and recurring reports in short suspense
  • Have strong analytical and investigation skills crafting solutions to challenging problems/issues
  • Must be able to organize and collect reporting among the projects on the program
  • Experience with VA development and release processes is highly desired
  • Understanding and supporting the Agile delivery model, whether Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean Kanban or other iterative development approaches
  • Understanding of DevOps and Tools
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge
  • Able to perform document reviews at an expert level


  • Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline
  • 5 Years of Experienced Required (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Familiar with the project management methodology is a plus
  • PM-related certifications such as CSM, PMP and ITIL are not required, but good to have
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Experience in all areas of the software development life cycle, enterprise-wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, structure and management practices a plus
  • Must have experience with diverse IT Development projects large enterprise environments
  • Knowledge of Broadcom Rally Software is a plus
