Title: Lead Solutions Architect

Job Description:

LTS is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to support the Growth Team in the pursuit of leading-edge technology efforts across the Federal Government, including Department of Defense (DOD), Federal Health, Intelligence Community (IC), and Federal Civilian (FedCiv) agencies.

Position Summary:

This position will directly support the LTS Growth organization with a focus on DOD, Federal health, IC, and FedCiv needs. The selected candidate will work with Business Development, Executive Leadership, and Operations personnel to understand customer needs and lead the development of compelling solutions to those needs. They will bring these solutions forward through white papers, presentations, and proposal responses. This position requires leading and engaging teams of people with diverse skills to develop comprehensive Information Technology solutions in various disciplines (Agile, SecDevOps, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data Management, Cloud, AI/ML, etc). The successful candidate will be able to conceptualize these solutions around key business needs and goals in full awareness of industry trends. This position requires a broad and deep understanding of various IT technology and our customers to match solutions to customer requirements and to differentiate LTS from our competitors.

Responsibilities

Work with internal and external teams on a pre-proposal basis, analyze RFI and RFP requirements and develop responsive solutions including staffing and other costs, review solutions developed by others, and present solutions to customer, teaming partners, and LTS growth leaders and senior executives.

Develop and explain LTS capability use-cases and collaborate with capture and proposal teams to develop logical and physical architectures and designs, and author proposal materials including writing proposal sections and diagrams and review the work of others in this area.

Lead technical solution strategy throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from early Qualification through Proposal submission

Develop win strategies and lead the development of technical win themes and solution readiness plans

Engage current and prospective customers to understand critical needs, socialize and vet solutions, and advise on strategies to shape acquisitions that achieve desired results

Identify and select the best technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements

Lead solution design and the development of key artifacts including, but not limited to architectural models, process diagrams, concepts of operation, staffing plans etc.

Develop unsolicited technical recommendations, collateral and RFI/SSN responses to engage prospective customers and position LTS to win

Collaborate with LTS technical service areas and lines of business to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies and solutions to differentiate LTS with target Federal Agencies

Contribute to teaming strategies including identifying and vetting potential partners

Develop cost strategies, LOEs/BOEs/BOMs, and associated rationale

Lead development of the Technical volumes and orals presentations for proposals

Ensure integration of technical solution with all sections and volumes of the proposal

Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen our solution and proposals

Author Technical volume introductions, key sections and orals slides including developing compelling graphics

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree with 10-15 years of prior relevant experience; Industry certifications will be considered in augmenting years of experience.

Experience (at least 5 years) in three of the following areas, with Expertise in at least one: Networking, System Development, Software or Application Development, Hardware Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Information Assurance or Cyber Security, and Agile (SAFe) Development

Experience leading the development of solutions for proposals

Experience in writing for white papers, RFI responses, and proposals

Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment

Ability to effectively engage current and prospective customers to build trust and relationships, clearly communicate solutions and concepts, and influence action

Ability to write exceptionally and to create compliant and compelling narrative that best presents LTS’ solutions and approaches within the government’s requirements and evaluation criteria

Ability to conceptualize and communicate or develop rich graphic visuals that help to strengthen the LTS story and clearly and effectively communicate concepts and approaches

Proficiency and experience in various solutions and capabilities as well as technology products, services and skill areas and be knowledgeable in all and expert in the following areas: Enterprise IT, Cloud, Cyber, AI/ML and Managed Services, etc.

Familiar with integration of various solutions into a complex IT Enterprise environment.

Desired Qualifications

Top Secret/SCI

Creative thinking, problem- solving, time- management and organizational skills.

Master’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, or related field.

5-10+ years of experience successfully architecting technical solutions and leading and supporting complex capture pursuits and proposals

Certified expertise in one or more of the following domains: Enterprise Architecture, IT Service Management, System Development (Agile, DevOps), Business Analysis, Human Centered Design, User Experience, Cloud.

Strong human relations skills.

Basis of Estimate and competitive estimation strategy.
