Job Description:

Production and Operational Support (POS) Technician 

Join our production and operations team focused on using innovative technology and quality production to provide customers with reliable, convenient and alternative delivery of everyday health services.  We strive to give every team members the tools they need to succeed in bringing new products and services to life that offer convenient and equitable access to care.

 

Purpose:    Support the production, operation and maintenance of new assembly and field deployed machines, and related operations and logistics tasks essential to program success for COVID testing and other emergency response and health service business activities. 

 

Machine Support:

  • Assemble, retrofit, wire, and/or configure machine components and accessories to specification as directed. 
  • Identify and communicate observed technical issues to appropriate channels; provide data to support troubleshooting. 
  • Implement provided solutions to resolve mechanical or other technical issues. 
  • Test, monitor and maintain machine operations, and report data as directed. 
  • Learn machine mechanics and share acquired subject matter expertise to support efficient troubleshooting and optimal field operations. 

 

Logisitics Support:

  • Deliver/relocate, setup, test and demonstrate machine functionality as directed. 
  • Deliver, setup and tear down physical sites as directed. 
  • Support inventory management and data monitoring and reporting activities as directed. 

 

Administrative Support:

  • Provide accurate information for documentation and periodic update and review of Machine Operations Guides (MOGs) 
  • Follow policies for daily time reporting, expense reporting, training, travel and time off requests. 
  • Support management in the performance of other related duties as directed.

 

Other:

Additional duties may include support of logistics and field surge activity related to the successful operation of physical locations where machines may or may not be deployed. Such activities include the full scope of operational support for COVID testing and other emergency response operations to include delivery of inventory to deployed machines/sites and delivery of specimens to shipping service. Mileage reimbursement and/or company vehicle provided as approved/when applicable.

 

Required skills, experience, and working conditions:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass background check. 
  • High school diploma or GED plus two years directly related experience. 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.  
  • Flexibility to travel/work away from home for extended periods.  
  • Desire to learn and apply new concepts. 
  • Focused attention to detail and quality control. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers when out in the field. 
  • Exceptional teamwork and commitment to program success.
  • Able to perform physical labor and lift 49 pounds. 
  • Adherence to donning and doffing of specified PPE in unique work environments as required. 
  • Work conditions – Warehouse or similar manufacturing setting, extended time standing, extended time driving and outdoor exposure to extreme elements are common in this role.
