Description

LTS is seeking an experienced Technical Scrum Master, who is well versed in using Lean and Agile practices to enable teams to achieve and maintain a high level of performance. In addition to delivering on client outcomes in a fast-paced environment, the Scrum Master will play a key role as servant leader and coach to propel the team toward learning through experimentation and observation.

 

You will be part of a highly skilled team working in a dynamic environment that leverages automation and technology to deliver a net new healthcare solution for medical testing, harm reduction treatments, and preventative care. Your work will have a direct impact on addressing ongoing public health crises and will support vulnerable communities’ health needs.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has experience working as a part of a cloud engineering team following DevOps/DevSecOps culture. S/he has served previously as a Scrum Master, RTE, program manager, or equivalent with solid project management skills and a deep understanding of all things Agile (Scrum, Kanban, and other methodologies).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform as a servant leader for Agile practices, mindset, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Promote refinement, story splitting, estimation, and other Scrum techniques for grooming and sprint planning.
  • Facilitate improving practices and guiding team to more predictable delivery.
  • Optimize team velocity and cycle time to achieve higher levels of team performance.
  • Actively set prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint.
  • Manage tasks and project delivery milestones t hrough tracking issues and milestones in Gitlab.
  • Assist in coordinating and tracking the progress of all items to keep goals and milestones on track and identifying issues/delays before they occur.
  • Help the team to prepare for, facilitate, and continuously improve PI Planning processes and events.
  • Collaborate with product owners, product managers, and team members to effectively communicate the delivery of each work product in meetings, presentations, and status reporting deliverables.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals in a timely manner.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required.
  • 5+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master, RTE, PM or equivalent working experience.
  • Certification such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Cloud Digital Leader, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are not required but would be a value add.
  • Demonstrable core knowledge and skills regarding cloud technology.
  • Experience with Agile technology practices such as DevOps and DevSecOps.
  • Experience working on Healthcare IT solutions.
  • Experience with Gitlab is preferred but related experience with Jira, Github, Azure DevOps or other management tools is acceptable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
  • Ability to quickly build relationships to navigate the organization and clear the team's impediments.
  • Outstanding communication, analytical, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, coaching, and related soft skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Must promote continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Expert in cross-functional team building and leadership with multi-cultural communications capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
