LTS is seeking an experienced full-time Certified Nursing Assistant for the 2024-2025 school year for the Franklin Township, NJ public schools. As a school nurse assistant, you will be responsible for administrative and basic medical responsibilities under the direction of a licensed school nurse.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid for injuries and document symptoms of sick students.
- Administer doctor approved medication to students and provide emergency care when necessary.
- Maintain a log of students who are sent to the nurse's office and communicate with parents or guardians of sick children.
- Contact doctors who can provide emergency care when necessary.
- Assist the school nurse with health assemblies for students and staff.
- Provide training in first aid and safety practices.
- Administer basic first aid to students and staff who become injured or ill on school grounds.
- Record and maintain accurate medical records of students and staff, including immunization records and medical histories.
- Assist the school nurse or other healthcare professionals in providing medical care to students with chronic medical conditions, such as asthma or diabetes.
- Maintain and order medical supplies and equipment necessary for the care of students and staff.
- Perform basic health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests, to identify potential health issues.
- Provide compassionate one-on-one support to students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to maintain a positive learning environment and assist with daily activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma with 2+ years of experience working in schools or a similar setting.
- Must possess an active CNA License and a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to pass Background Check.
- Must possess a current CPR/BLS Certification.
- High level of patience, understanding and compassion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
