Job Overview

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our team. As an Associate Product Manager for Data & Analytics team, you’ll work closely with Business teams, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams to understand their needs, quantify the value Data & Analytics can add to the business and define concrete Data/Analytics Products and solutions, enabling the Business to make better decisions. You will lead Data Analysts and Data Scientists to build and deliver Analytics Products and solutions, e.g., Dashboards, Actionable Insights from Analysis and Predictive Models.  You will work with Engineering teams to drive data consolidation and enable the business to self-serve.

  • Build and manage a roadmap of analytics use cases from the data collection to reporting & dashboards to predictive analytics use cases
  • Lead and work closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Data engineers to build & deliver Data & Analytics products
  • Performing issue discovery and drafting solution proposals in conjunction with business stakeholders
  • Review user stories, participate in grooming sessions, manage backlog, communicate, and clarify feature requirements and product needs to the development team
  • Create actionable, insights-driven data products for a variety of strategic business initiatives, stakeholder goals, and user needs.
  • Ability to structure solutions to business problems, create a hypothesis for analysis, and test them
  • Drive product strategy, design, and build for Data Platform products to support stakeholder business objectives and priorities
  • Assist in the development of short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Support requirements from inter-departmental product managers who are leveraging data platform for other functions viz. risk, compliance, merchant portal, etc.
  • Review product documentation and collateral related to products being built
  • Regularly interact across functional areas with executives and senior management to ensure business unit objectives are met.
  • Research and understand market trends, competitors, and new technologies to identify new capabilities

Required Skills:

  • Product leader who can work at the intersection of Business, Analytics, Engineering, and User experience, with deep domain knowledge of Data and Data Science.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, and working knowledge of Tableau is a plus
  • Techno-functional knowledge of Relational databases, NoSQL databases, JSONDB, Vertica, Druid, and Elastic data stores
  • Knowledge and experience with data requirements, big data, data modeling concepts, master data management, metadata management, enterprise data warehousing data lake tools
  • Exposure to defining how the organization will gather and use data and analytics to deliver great customer experiences
  • Experience in defining specifications for data management, multi-business unit data platforms & analytics product capabilities in Big Data environments & cloud applications
  • Experience in data validation processes for data loaded through batch processes (files)
  • Exposure to real-time data load and data validation
  • Engaging with the data governance team to incorporate enterprise data catalog and Business Information Model
  • 10 plus years’ experience working in Product Management roles
  • Master’s in business administration, engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, or IT-related field 
  • Strong communication & analytical skills, to capability to lead discussions with Executives, Business stakeholders, Engineering, Design/UX, and Analytics teams
  • Proficient in SQL, experience working with large datasets
  • Experience applying visualization tools such as building Tableau Dashboards
  • Proven experience in defining Product Specifications in large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services ecosystem and payments is a must
  • Expertise in Agile methodology
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
  • Technical background is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, a thorough understanding of product development and product management
  • Exposure to working in a diverse, multicultural, and global company is a plus
