Overview

Supports dive operations and diver personnel in their daily routine and responsibilities including setting up of dive stations, dive equipment, and hat hook-up.

Job Title:  Diver/Tender

Reports To: Dive Supervisor and Operations Manager

Typical Duties/Responsibilities

·        Performs dives as needed.

·        Tends the dive hose of the diver.

·        Keeps proper tending posture, proper ascent rates, and proper hose coiling and slack. Mentors new tenders.

·        Performs proper chamber operations including fueling, proper fluid levels, and filter changes, freshwater wash down, and cleaning.

·        Set up dive station including compressors, volume tanks, helmet hook-up, arranges equipment in a safe organized and efficient manner.

·        Assures that all equipment (jet pumps, hydraulics, tools etc.) is set up safely and properly, and tests same to ensure proper operation.

·        Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

·        Classification in accordance with the standards set forth by The Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI).

·        Completion certificate from a Association of Commercial Diving Educators (ACDE) training institution.

·        Dive log book.

·        Valid driver’s license/ID card.

Physical Requirements

·        Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

·         Frequent standing, bending, and climbing
