Intern or Co-op – Engineer - Electric Distribution
POSITION PURPOSE
Assist a team of experienced construction/operation engineers in providing support for MGE's electric distribution system and customers in getting their energy.
WORK SCHEDULE
· Interns will work full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer months, starting May 27, 2025 through early September on a hybrid basis with some remote capabilities if interning. Co-op students will work full-time (40 hours/week) starting May 27, 2025 through the end of 2025. Part-time hours following the completion of a successful Co-op or internship may be available with additional flexibility for hybrid work.

QUALIFICATIONS
· High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university or college program in Electrical or Construction Engineering
· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
· Great customer service skills
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
· Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
· Strong Business acumen, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
· Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
