Corporate Accounting Intern 

 

WORK SCHEDULE

Interns will work full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer months, starting May 27th through sometime in August on a hybrid basis with some remote capabilities.

Provided we have a mutually beneficial partnership during the summer in addition to work available, interns may have the ability to work part-time (10-15 hours/week) during the fall and spring semesters with additional hybrid flexibility.

 

Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Accounting Intern to join our accounting and finance team. This internship provides exposure to various aspects of corporate accounting, process improvement, and process documentation initiatives. The intern will assist more experienced accounting staff while gaining valuable real-world experience in a dynamic corporate environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes.

·         Work on special projects such as process automation and documentation, and compliance initiatives.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial data collection, validation, and reporting.

·         Contribute to ad-hoc projects related to financial operations, efficiency improvements, or cost analysis.

 

Qualifications:

·         Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle) is a plus.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·         Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
