Description
Futurewei has opening for optical science research contractor. Candidate will conduct research, modeling, and/or prototyping in the pioneering field of optical science and thermal management. The intern will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from senior researchers to explore and develop new and impactful technologies.
Responsibilities
• Optical designs and evaluation for ARVR devices
• Evaluate human visual response with visual computing toolbox ISETbio
• Apply artificial intelligence toolboxes to bridge display optics and human perception
• Publish papers
Qualifications
• Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate in Optical Science, or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or relative major.
• Hands-on experience in optics lab (candidates with research experience will be considered)
• Knowledge and experience in Machine Learning Python toolboxes .
• Experience in running commercially available optical design software, such as OpticStudio/Zemax
• Self-motivated detail-oriented team player.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Have track record of publishing scientific papers.
