Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for a Banknote Product Manager. Based in Malta.

How you will make an impact:
The banknote product manager is responsible for managing the banknote product life cycle with particular focus on print banknote features and polymer substrates. This includes developing an overall product strategy, ensuring production readiness and being accountable for all technical aspects from initial customer inquiry through production and final delivery.
The associate will be based in the Malta site and will be responsible ensure banknotes progress from pre-sales through delivery meeting customer and product requirements through strong engagement and collaboration with sales, design, contract management, prepress and production operations.
The associate will be expected to make data-driven decisions and thorough investigation. This requires a strong will to promote and support a culture focused on quality, continuous improvement, process compliance, and an overall focus on customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities:
Customers:
Carry out customer education with respect to banknote print and polymer features through
Sales and Pre-Sales Support:
Provide support and constructive feedback to Sales in pre-sales and blue-sheet activities for banknote customers.
Conduct periodic training sessions with the sales team to align them with the latest strategies.
Be the technical reference for banknote printing during the bidding process
Post Sales Support:
Follow through on customer projects post award, ensuring each stakeholder (design, quality, prepress and operations) is aligned with the technical strategy.
Represent Crane for specific customers at customer site as to obtain significant information to help develop product strategy.
Operations:
Carry out capability assessment of outsourcing partners and support outsourcing projects.
New Products and R&D:
Carry out new product qualifications as necessary.
Provide voice of the customer to the R&D team.
Strategic:
Develop the banknote print strategies.
Expert in polymer substrates.
Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Required:
Degree in Engineering
Knowledge of the theory, principals and techniques of the planning and development process.
Proven strong management and organizational skills.
Ability to understand and manage high profile and sensitive information.
Proven techniques of leadership skills, problem solving and teamwork.
Analytic, meticulous, multi tasked with the ability to handle pressure and meet target dates.
Management experience in the manufacturing industry.
