Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for a 1st shift CNC Tooling Machinist based out of Alpharetta, GA.

How you will make an impact:

As a Machinist, you are crucial in setting up and operating various machine tools to produce high-precision parts and instruments. You may also fabricate and modify parts to repair or maintain machining tools, utilizing your knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Your expertise ensures the smooth operation of machinery, directly impacting production efficiency and quality. By maintaining and repairing equipment, you help minimize downtime and operational costs. Your role is vital in driving the business’s success through precision and reliability.

• Setting up and Operating Machine Tools including CNC machines, to produce precision parts.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Measuring, examining, and testing parts to ensure everything meets specs
• Routine maintenance & repairs of machinery for optimal performance
• Maintain accurate records of orders, processes, and productivity 

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

• High School Diploma or commensurate experience.
• Completion of an apprenticeship and/or formal training in a metal working trade.
• 5+ years of machining or toolmaking or related degree in CNC Technology.
• Strong machining background with basic understanding of metal working, work holding, and tool clamping.
• Able to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job.
• Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools, and instruments for production & use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Wire EDM a Plus.
• Experience with CMM measuring devices a Plus.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our U.S. Government contract requirements.
