Our Ideal Candidate

Allnorth is seeking a Civil Project Manager to support the delivery of ongoing and upcoming projects. The successful candidate will hold significant responsibility to develop and maintain client relationships, while delivering civil, structural, and multi-disciplinary projects on-time, on-budget and to, or exceeding, client expectations. 

A Day in the Life

  • Contribute to business development seeking opportunities and completion of Go/No-Go for compatibility with the project team and business centre
  • Meet with clients to understand project needs and scope requirements
  • Lead the development and submission of proposals and fee estimates
  • Identify any significant risk or non-standard contract items
  • Lead development of the project plan, schedule, list of deliverables, control, and risk factors
  • Management of all project safety including preparation of pre-work safety documentation, checks on clearance, and incident reporting
  • Lead the preparation of engineering designs, construction services, and related documents for various civil, structural and multidisciplinary projects within the industrial, municipal, and infrastructure sectors
  • Interface directly with clients, team members, contractors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations
  • Collaborate with and supervise the project team, comprised of engineers, designers, project coordinators, field services personnel , and others, to develop engineering designs, construction services, and related documents
  • Manager the budget and schedule to ensure the project is delivered to, or exceeding, client expectations
  • Update the project plan, schedule, and progress reports
  • Proactively resolve performance, scope, and schedule issues to ensure completion of work within allotted schedules and budgets to high quality standards
  • Manage client relations at both a technical and commercial level to achieve client satisfaction and leverage further opportunities
  • Lead invoicing development to ensure procedures meet the client requirements, including review and approval prior to submission

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or a technical diploma or equivalent approved project experience
  • 5+ years of civil and/or engineering, technical, or project coordinator experience on multiple projects
  • Proven experience and demonstrated understanding of delivering projects on schedule, on budget, in scope at the required quality and achieving client satisfaction
  • A strong understanding of project management methodologies and ability to manage change
  • Sector knowledge and understanding of industrial, municipal, and infrastructure sectors
  • Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGBC is an asset
  • PMP or equivalent certification or experience is an asset
  • Project management and business development experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written)
  • Proven ability to interact with clients and to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Technical competence and strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of standard safety procedures and protocols

  • A competitive salary between $85,000.00 and $120,000.00 per year depending on skills and experience
