Using molecular biology skills, the successful candidate will partner with computational biologists, genomic science experts, and computer specialists at NCBI to help build and maintain GenBank, one of the world's largest publicly available nucleotide sequence databases. Designed to provide and encourage access within the scientific community to the most up-to-date and comprehensive DNA sequence information, GenBank now contains more than 776 billion bases and 226 million sequences, and it continues to grow. Requirements
This is a full-time position working on site at the NIH Campus in Bethesda, Maryland, but the new hire will initially telework. Currently, all Computercraft employees at NIH are teleworking full time to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Employees will return to onsite work as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
