A dynamic and growing company, Computercraft is seeking a staff accountant to join its corporate team. Under the supervision of the company’s CFO, this role will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day accounting activities. They will process AR, AP, payroll, and support month-end close activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who works well in a collaborative environment and wants to help drive process improvements and systems. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting accounting and finance functions within a small/ midsize government contractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, and track expenses
  • Process bi-monthly payroll for over 90 employees in multiple states
  • In charge of all accounts payable for vendors and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate financial records and general accounts
  • Support timely monthly project billing
  • Record revenue and receivables accurately in accounting system
  • Assist in month-end process and financial statement preparation
  • Contribute to annual budget development
  • Support the annual audit

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting
  • Experience working for a government contractor preferred
  • Experience with Dynamics SL or Dynamics 365 desired but not required
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and change priorities quickly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with staff, managers, and vendors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Teams
