A dynamic and growing company, Computercraft is seeking a qualified, resourceful Director of Human Resources to lead our HR program and contribute to smooth and efficient business operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the leadership team and will focus on identifying opportunities for efficiencies and establishing new/improved workflows and processes. This position will have responsibilities in the functional areas of compliance, benefits administration, HR information system (HRIS) management, recruitment, and employee relations and engagement.


  • Develop, align, and execute HR program and initiatives in support of organization goals; recommend new approaches and improvements.
  • Work closely with the firm’s leadership to develop and oversee full lifecycle of recruitment.
  • Evaluate and structure the onboarding process and implement enhancements.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws/regulations and best practices; review policies and practices to ensure adherence to requirements; and recommend changes where needed.
  • Work with Computercraft’s leadership to develop competitive compensation and benefits packages.
  • Lead the annual performance appraisal process in line with our career development framework.
  • Update company policies and the employee handbook to reflect the firm’s needs and changes in the business environment.
  • Develop training for managers and provide coaching on giving timely, accurate feedback.
  • Manage relationship with employee benefits providers.
  • Manage performance improvement plans (PIP) when needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive work experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in recruiting multiple disciplines, levels, including leadership roles.
  • Experience in creating and implementing employment management systems including but not limited to performance management, coaching, and relationship management.
  • Experience developing and executing team activities, events, trainings, and other cultural supports.
  • Experience in managing and evaluating benefits programs.
  • Current certification (SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to juggle multiple deadlines and change priorities quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with staff, managers, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
