BASIC FUNCTION:

Pick and consolidate product and prepare goods for shipment.  Record shipment data including weight, dimensions and freight charges.   Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes.  Complete shipping and receiving reports on time and error free. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

•   Move material throughout the plant by hand, pallet jack and/or forklift to pull or put away stock and complete sales orders to meet customer demand.
• Support freight and courier shipment processes by picking, packaging and labelling product.
• Process orders and invoices to CP&S customers.
• Create a Bill of Lading for each shipment utilizing shipping software.
• Stock shipping materials and supplies as needed.
• Coordinate pickup of freight with freight carriers and/or ensure parcel shipments are completed to meet deadlines.        
• Update performance metrics for respective area to meet visual management standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 2-3 years related experience on shipping and receiving dock.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Fork-Lift experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/Shipping software systems preferred.
