Crane Currency is looking to fill a Human Resource Director Job. This position reports to the VP of HR and can be located in Dalton, MA or Nashua, NH, or Remote with travel expectations to all sites.
The Director of Talent Management and HR will play a critical global role as an HR Business partner with cross functional teams as well as demonstrate ownership and provide professional expertise in the design, development, and implementation of Talent Management processes required to achieve business goals and ensure a strong pool of talent within the Currency organization. This also includes promotion and optimization of talent processes, outcomes, and in-house training programs including performance process & tools, Intellectual Capital reviews, employee development channels, training plans for associates at every level, and critical diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
HR Director is responsible for:
*Talent Management - This leader will excel at leading end-to-end talent related strategies aimed to bolster talent attraction & acquisition, diversity hiring, designing & streamlining university recruiting programs, onboarding, leadership development, high potential talent development, and establishing a learning culture where associates have access to effective paths for skills and career growth. This role will serve as a certified expert (certify upon entry) for talent assessment & leadership tools central to our interviewing processes. (CIDS Interview - Big 5 and Paradigm tools). In addition, this leader will drive analysis of quarterly IC process, reviews & action plans, as well as administration of robust employee development programs at all levels of the company. A clear focus is placed on individual development plans, mentoring & coaching programs, feedback, and ongoing training channels necessary to build a strong internal pool of talent ready for career progression or planned succession moves within the company. This leader will also foster essential external university relations, and targeted professional, and diversity talent pipelines.
*HR Business Partnering – A fundamental aspect of this role is partnership with business leaders and cross-functional teams to drive HR processes that support key strategic initiatives for the company. This also serves as a key member and active partner on the Currency HR Leadership Team (HRLT). Responsibilities include driving global HR initiatives within assigned client groups, driving the talent development & IC Process (quarterly for all managers), recruiting & hiring activities, employee relations, employee life-cycle actions, performance management, compensation, and benefits practices. This role is an active HR advisor and facilitator to lead positive change in organizational culture and improve and strengthen diversity and inclusion practices within the business. It is critical to ensure that managers have a solid understanding of our Currency HR initiatives to strengthen common practice and consistency throughout the company. Additional activities include fostering robust development plans for talent with specific measurable goals, facilitating recognition within the business, promoting employee appreciation, volunteerism, and philanthropic efforts. The Director of Talent Management and HR creates and maintains a positive, rewarding work environment for employees.
*Functional Effectiveness – The Director of Talent Management and HR will coordinate and lead continuous improvement of Talent & HR processes across the enterprise. CBS problem-solving skills and process mapping tools will be used to drive efficiency creating solutions that have a tangible enablement benefit to the business.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does partner with and serve as a coach and mentor for other HR colleagues.
