CBS and Technology Manager (Process Excellence Lead)


The CBS & Technology Manager at Crane AB is responsible for developing, implementing, and manage strategies for CBS and Technology, that enables Crane Currency to maximize performance and result in accordance with commercial, production and profitability goals. Ongoing review and develop all processes with the focus on increased productivity.

The CBS & Technology Manager will Lead the continuous improvement work in the whole organization in accordance with Crane Business System (CBS) as well as support managers in creating a highly skilled and motivated organization that develops processes with focus on improved productivity and cost efficiency.

You will be coaching project managers, process owners and leaders within the organization to implement relevant improvements in the most efficient manner. You will work closely with production and propose, initiate and monitor the results of previous improvements.

The CBS & Technology Manager will contribute by:

  • Analyze, plan and solve problems from a strategic perspective and contribute to an effective decision making for Crane Tumba and for Crane Currency.
  • Establish, implement and follow up long- and short-term goals for CBS and Technology department that will meet plans under correct progress tracking
  • Ensure collaboration and alignment within Crane Currency on CBS, Paper Engineering and Project Management
  • Coach associates at Crane Tumba to establish right CBS culture at site
  • Manage technical project management process and managers to deliver on our CAPEX plans and individual project objectives
  • Ensure manufacturing process for banknote paper is optimized to meet expectations on quality, efficiency, and efficient troubleshooting when off capability
  • Manage Trials that will lead to improved or new capability for Crane paper making
  • Manage technical evaluations and qualifications on raw material changes and/or qualifications of new raw materials
  • Develop relevant improvement tools/templates/trainings and perform trainings in accordance with Crane Business System (CBS) and Technical Process Improvements
  • Ensure an effective organization structure, optimally staffed with a trained and motivated workforce. Develop Intellectual Capital from Engineering team to advance to new broader responsibilities or greater knowledge on banknote paper making
  • Ensure good relations with the unions, government agencies, suppliers, and other relevant partners.

Drive the business according to Crane Currency´s policies and operational systems for areas: Safety, Environment, Security and Quality.


  • Master of Science degree in Engineering/ Technology
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience of Managing direct reporting Associates, Leading Technical Engineering teams on a group or department level and individual experience from technical Project management.
  • Experience of Managing LEAN and/or Continuous improvement work at a manufacturing site.
  • English and Swedish at a professional level in written and spoken communication
  • MS-office, Business ERP system usage, Project management systems, SharePoint based applications: All on an excellent level
  • Paper or Graphical Industry background, IATF-knowledge, third language is an advantage
