In this position you will work with experienced engineers and artists to learn, maintain, and improve highly technical processes and contribute to the advancement of the company.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Maintain and improve complex algorithms on the back-end of our design software with Python and Matlab
  • Work with design team to create visually engaging state-of-the-art products
  • Manage databases with SQLAlchemy, MariaDB, and utilization of a REST API
  • Design, maintain and troubleshoot high performance Linux computing infrastructure
  • Build and maintain websites  (including web graphics with custom shaders)
  • Document technical and procedural process improvements
  • Integrate non-proprietary hardware into our software environment
  • Develop novel image processing algorithms for measurement and analysis
  • Perform some quality control procedures, including software testing and bug fixes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or similar discipline required.  Master’s degree in computer science, math, or similar discipline such as electrical engineering focused on image processing or computer software focused on computer graphics preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience or college course work with Python and/or MATLAB required. Some experience with Blender preferred
  • Object Oriented Programming, code optimization, and UI/UX  design Preferred
  • Version control experience a Plus
  • Flask, Three.JS, and/or OpenGL knowledge strongly preferred
  • MATLAB or JavaScript strongly preferred
  • C  or C++ a plus
  • Some Linux experience highly preferred
  • Write code that is clearly commented, diligently formatted, and thoughtfully abstracted towards reuse
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with people from a variety of technical and artistic backgrounds at all levels of the organization
