Job Description: 

Play an integral part in the continued success of the Volunteer Department at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science as a Business Support Coordinator. We are building on our solid foundation with a strong vision and focused strategy to recreate and redefine how we engage a community that loves, understands, and protects our natural world.

The Business Support Coordinator is a key administrative support position that will provide exceptional customer service while supporting project needs, coordinating appointments, managing inventory, organizing data and acting as the primary point of reception for the Volunteer Department. We are looking for a highly organized and detail oriented candidate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who has experience working in an administrative support role.

 

Essential duties: 

  • Provides support on department specific projects. Depending on scope, may lead the collection and organization of data and information as needed.
  • Provides reception and public interface for Volunteer Department providing routine information and referring emails and phone calls to appropriate team members.
  • Schedules and attends meetings as requested, and prepares minutes and agendas.
  • Maintains volunteer lounge, kitchen and general office area.
  • Coordinates department events and programs as required.
  • Performs general filing with knowledge of alphabetical and numerical filing procedures.
  • May provide database support, systems support, or website content management

 

Minimum qualifications/Requirements: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years’ experience providing administrative support or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years’ managing a project for a department.
  • Some evening/night/weekend work.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and web enabled applications.
