Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for a Contract Manager Based out of Malta.

How you will make an impact:

Contract Managers are the key contact for sales, customers and the Crane internal organization on a contract from award to delivery and any following concerns. As such this role will require both a technical and commercial perspective on our business for the successful candidate.  A successful contract execution will be the key to new sales contracts and Crane Currency growth.

In your role you will:

  • Review complex contracts and prepares specialized and/or non-routine response for contract finalization.
  • Analyze significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure.
  • Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiation team on complex contractual issues.
  • Analyze new law, regulation and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives.
  • Function as a domain expert on selected areas and issues.
  •  Focal point for all communication with sales, law, finance, bid, operations, supply chain and business team disciplines for resolution of contract issues and disputes.
  • Assists in identification, development and implementation of new contract policy and processes.
  • Have a general understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications.

Knowledge and expertise that matters most for this role:

Required:

  • Documented experience working in the banknote paper industry. 
  • Education: Bachelors degree in business or other technical degree and 24 semester hours of business. Three or more years business or related experience. Masters degree in business degree highly desirable.
  • Language: Fluent in English (company standard language). Proficiency in French, Spanish or Portuguese valuable. 
  • Working to excellent knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify required improvement to established policies.
  • Experience in public tendering and/or working in a high-security environment. 
  • Excellent internal and external negotiation skills.
  • Able to work under pressure with multiple contracts. 

Preferred:

  • Well-travelled and confident in situations outside Malta site. 
  • Good presentation, leadership and team-building skills.
  • Based out of Malta
