PRIVATE REAL ASSETS ANALYST AT BESSEMER TRUST

This role will provide a unique opportunity to apply the fundamentals of investing in private real assets at a leading multifamily office with a long legacy of private markets investing experience. The Private Real Assets Analyst will support the Private Real Assets team’s efforts related to new investment activities, as well as monitoring, analyzing and reporting on existing real assets investments. This role is expected to include significant interaction with investment professionals within Bessemer’s Alternative Investments group, as well as with external managers. The Analyst will report to the Director of Real Assets.

Responsibilities

  • Source and screen private real asset funds and co-investments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with private real asset general partners, intermediaries and other leading institutional investors
  • Participate in due diligence on private real asset funds and co-investments, including preparing diligence materials and supporting presentation of investment recommendations
  • Maintain private real asset transaction models, portfolio models and benchmarking reports
  • Support reporting and investor relations communications, including preparation of investor updates, presentations and marketing materials
  • Centralize data in research management system and private market databases for research and analysis
  • Research and remain current on industry trends and fundamentals
  • Travel for manager/company onsite visits and annual meetings
  • Performance as needed of additional duties and special projects related to private real assets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, strong credentials (MBA/CFA/CAIA) a plus
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, including experience researching and investing in private markets
  • Knowledge of the private real assets universe
  • Co-investing or direct investing experience desirable
  • Effective communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong quantitative skills and transaction modeling experience
  • Collaborative team member with intellectual curiosity and a passion for investing
  • Successful candidate should be able to multitask and prioritize, with keen attention to detail
  • Tech savvy; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with PitchBook, Cobalt, Dynamo, FactSet, Burgiss a plus
