Position Summary:

Responsible for CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Program), Importer Security Filings (ISF), Duty Drawback Program, KORUS FTA, USMCA (NAFTA), and manage & develop a supply base for production parts analysis within an automotive manufacturing environment.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform and create all Importer Security Filings (ISF) through Integration Point Software for HMMA to US Customs.
  • Perform annual audit for Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism for HMMA: evaluate all areas of this program for HMMA and report to CBP.
  •  Collaborate with HMMA Suppliers, Parts Development, Finance, & Production Control for NAFTA related matters; develop reports for NAFTA. Analyze RVC (Regional Value Content) for exported vehicles; perform NAFTA management of internal systems, external and internal audits, calculations, etc.
  • Coordinate with outside suppliers to obtain correct information for Duty Drawback and work with broker for HMMA refunds.
  • Respond to all Customs Request for Information and adhere to all Customs rules for Free Trade Agreements.
  • Perform KORUS FTA document management, issuing of C/O, external and internal audits.
  • Select, develop and manage supply base for production parts, components, and systems by: (1) Preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for multi-year full production quantities (2) Negotiating long term agreements (3) Maintaining competitive pricing (4) Leading yearly cost reduction activities (5) Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance.
  • Formulate and implement yearly commodity and supply base strategy.
  • Work closely with supplier to optimize supplier processes.
  • Explore available technology and implement best practices related to purchasing activities.
  • Evaluate part designs with engineering, quality, and suppliers to obtain optimum efficiencies.
  • Plan, organize, track and disseminate information related to production suppliers.
  • Maintain up-to-date supply base information database.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business management System (BMS), Environmental Systems Management (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) guidelines.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Position Requirements:


Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired

Related Experience

  • 0 – 10 years job related experience preferred

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call
