Position Summary:
Manage and oversee process engineers in an automobile manufacturing environment. Apply knowledge of materials and engineering theory and methods to
design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems or related processes. Responsible for monitoring improvement and reporting vehicle quality,
productivity/utilization, and equipment debug installation projects. Position must interact effectively with other departments and provide support.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lead, train, mentor, encourage and support process engineers.
  • Ensure Team Member compliance with HMMA policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with Team Members and Management across departmental boundaries.
  • Incorporate new methods and processes to drive continuous improvements of vehicle quality and production utilization.
  • Manage special projects for new tooling and equipment to support production.
  • Initiate and complete reports tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and other administrative or reporting tasks as required.
  • Establish plans for new model activities; including equipment installation, process document preparation, and quality check documentation.
  • Troubleshoot new and existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes, determine root causes of failures and recommend countermeasures.
  • Control costs within established budgets.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management
    System (SMS) requirements.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned

Position Requirements:
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred

Related Experience

5 – 10 years of job related experience preferred
