Position Summary:
Responsible for functions directly related to shipping in the Engine Production Control department in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:

  • Check daily demand from customers and update demand plan.
  • Check inventory levels base in transit and warehouse.
  • Compile daily count of racks availability to support shipping plan.
  • Check HMMA constraints and create shipping plan to cover.
  • Update the racking plan for Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) crew based on time, quantity, and type.
  • Share shipping plan to Planning Specialist to be considered when sequencing.
  • Monitor open shipments and inventory not received.
  • Communicate shipments to warehouse and customer, adjust per feedback.
  • Coordinate Engines returning from warehouse or customer and adjust inventory.
  • Repurchase Engines that need to return; coordinate/schedule shipments and document properly.
  • Monitor discrepancy in inventory between system and SAP, conduct analysis and reconcile.
  • Track Engine by SN to ensure inventory is accurate (GR in the system) and for accountability.
  • Ensure SN are attached to ASN, check ASN status in system.
  • Check spec changes are done correctly and system is adjusting inventory.
  • Ensure ASN status is updated and reconcile.
  • Responsible for monthly audit of inventory.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred

Related Experience

0 – 10 years of job related experience preferred

Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility
