About the Position

We are looking for a Director of Product Innovation to join our Product Management Team. TeraRecon is dedicated to the development of clinically relevant and outcome-focused healthcare solutions. As our product portfolio expands to address high-value challenges for Enterprise Health Systems, we must be able to effectively prioritize, position, and deliver our portfolio. The Director of Product Innovation is responsible for ensuring that the core technologies, deployment models, IT solutions, and architectures are innovative and aligned with competition, consumer adoption, and market. Additionally, this person will own and direct our product validation and testing and demonstration systems. This role is critical to ensure that our product portfolio utilizes the most effective and useful core IT technologies in the market. To ensure that our portfolio can deploy into highly effective, efficient, and modern IT infrastructures. The role requires an understanding of the clinical environment in order to create meaningful product outcomes that have a clinical understanding. This role must ensure ideas are both technically and commercially viable.

The position is a remote US employee.

Responsibilities:

• Lead thinking on how to evolve core technologies to deliver cutting edge and market leading solutions in line with the overall product roadmap.
• Build bridges with leadership to strengthen collaboration with engineering.
• Execute market, competition and consumer research on core technology adoption, usage and direction, aligned with clinical understanding and impact.
• Create Product innovation use cases, benefit analysis, value proposition
• Improve and expand the team by attracting, developing and retaining high performance senior product leaders who excel within a diverse and inclusive environment
• Take ownership of technical and clinical integration with partner vendors such as PACS and AI content providers.
• Execute on product testing, integration validation and architecture validation.
• Create an environment that fosters high quality, metrics-driven experimentation and leads to impactful improvements with brand-positive business impact through product innovation.
• Align closely with Engineering leaders to drive core technology solutions and deployment models.
• Lead customer engagement for first of kind product/solutions from conceptualization to commercialization.
• Work with Engineering to ensure they understand real world deployment models, architectures and technology in use in healthcare IT organizations.
• Investigate and identify new technologies that are being adopted by our customers and our competition.
• Work with the PM’s to ensure the business/product specification for a release is translated correctly to engineering and that development of the technical specification for the release.
• Ownership of ensure the technical specifications translate and align with business/product release specification.
• Participate in the planning, designing and implementation of our product integration processes, best practices and validation requirements.
• Takes ownership of the product demo system management, deployment and delivery methodologies.
• Investigate and update our current state and future state strategy, roadmap and objectives.
• Take ownership of key core stack initiatives: Modern Deployment Models, State-of-the-art Upgrade/Update Strategies, Advanced Management tools and interfacing, Dynamic scalability, performance, reduction of footprint, etc
• Create our interoperability technology and core stack strategy and initiative. Align with product management roadmaps.
• Contribute to the prioritization of product features and requirements.
• Create Core Stack road maps. Short-term, Mid-term and long-term
• Work with the team on creating and managing policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years’ experience with Radiology PACS and/or Advanced Visualization (3D)
• Knowledge about Networking, HL7 and DICOM standards preferred
• Experience in managing/developing solutions in a regulated Medical Device environment
• Strong understanding of Medical Imaging and standards, as they apply to medical informatics
• Strong Information Technology and technical skill
• Experience deploying HCIT solutions: PACS Preferred
• Experience Integrating health care IT solutions: PACS, Enterprise Viewers, Dictation, EMR/HER, or VNAs Preferred
• Strong technically foundation and understanding
• Experience with VMWare Technologies preferred
• Experiences with Docker technology preferred
• Strong Storage and Networking experience
• Strong understanding of DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine), medical imaging related protocols and workflows
• Experience with cloud technologies a plus
• Experience with AI a plus
• Experience with Security Technologies a plus
• Experience testing and validating 3rd party solutions, products and services
• Experience with driving product deployment and architecture strategies
• Experience with clinical environments and workflows
• Experience with health system IT organizations

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree Required; VMware Certification, Security Certifications, other technical certifications or Biomedical Engineering (MS) preferred

Salary:  Depending on qualifications and experience.
