Summary/Objective

The Activity Therapy Tech develops, coordinates and evaluates therapeutic activity programs for patients.                                                                                                                                                           

Essential Job Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Assess patients to determine activity plan that relates to their recovery needs; as well as, guiding individual patients in selection of appropriate activities.
2. Prepares and documents Activity Assessment on each assigned patient within 72 hours of admission; as well as, documents patients' participation in group notes within 24 hours.
3. Demonstrates knowledge/skills to provide patient activities that are age specific and within patients' development.
4. Maintains safe, therapeutic environment during group/individual participation.
5. Conducts inventory of supplies needed.

6. Keeps areas clean and organized for safety, planning, time management.

    

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.

1-6 months of related experience.                                                                            

Required License/Certifications

Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist preferred; CPR within 30 days of hire
