Systems Administrators install, maintain, and upgrade internal computer hardware and software systems including designing, developing, and implementing IT services. Systems Administrators propose and implement enhancements that improve the reliability, security, and performance of the system, and monitor usage and performance.
The BPM Systems Administrators will be responsible for the support, configuration, maintenance, and coordination for various IBM Business Process Management systems, configured/built in-house. The BPM Systems Administrators will be highly motivated and self-directed, and will enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. This is not a Developer position.

ROLE
● Configures, implements, customizes, and tests software/hardware; duplicates and documents software/hardware defects; and reviews and interprets error logs and source codes to diagnose errors.
● Develops and documents technical requirements for projects/enhancements.
● Creates and maintains technical design documentation and identifies which applications are impacted by the solution and associated interfaces.
● Drives governance through designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and documenting enterprise policies, standards, guidelines, monitoring services, solutions, configurations, and procedures.
● Researches, analyzes, and recommends changes required for system growth by utilizing industry standard monitoring and research tools.
● Identifies opportunities for streamlining, increasing effectiveness through continuous process improvement.
● Manages/Coordinates virtual and physical servers including: server provisioning, upgrading, installing, monitoring, maintaining, and performance optimization.
● Identifies, develops, implements, reviews, and revises process improvements, procedures, and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
● Implements practices, processes, and procedures consistent with Costco's information security policy and IT standards.
● Performs shell and kernel-level programming and system-specific requirements.
● Supports and maintains various Middleware Environments.
● Installs, configures, and monitors all BAW/BPM, Application Server and web server infrastructure.
● Ensures scalability and performance of IBM BAW/BPM applications.
● Works with Engineers to implement and support infrastructure design.
● Develops and deploys code to the required operating systems.
● Participates in successful post-deployment activities.
● Creates and maintains technical design documentation and identifies which applications are impacted by the solution and associated interfaces.
● Recommends and follows security management practices, including the ongoing promotion of awareness on current threats, auditing of server logs, and other security management processes.
● Implements practices, processes, and procedures consistent with Costco's information security policy and IT standards.
● Researches, recommends and develops innovative, automated, approaches for systems admins tasks.
● Troubleshoots infrastructure issues, especially with BPM or webserver applications.
● Evaluates system specifications, input and out processes, and working parameters for hardware and software compatibility.
● Monitors load tests, performs deploys, reviews logs, and various other tasks maintaining the IT environment.
● Supports and maintains various environments.
● Delivers project-based work to agreed target dates. Notifies project manager and engineer of any roadblocks.
● Works with suppliers, business and application development teams, and other technical teams to meet the needs of the project.
● Seeks opportunities to learn, automate, document, share, educate, and improve processes.
● Follows corporate security standards and best practices.
REQUIRED
● Minimum 2-3 years BPM Systems Admin experience.
● 2+ years’ experience in BAW/BPM.
● Familiar with UNIX/Linux RHEL 7 or 8 operating system utilities.
● Familiarity with Oracle, DB2, and the install and support of middleware technologies.
● Knowledge of at least one Web Server, such as IBM WebSphere or Apache.
● Systems Monitoring tools/dashboards/scripts knowledge such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or App Dynamics.
● Familiar with system setup and administration of Tableau.
● Familiar with DocuSign deployment and maintenance.
● Familiarity with Instana monitoring tools.
● Knowledge of Application deployment tools, such as Udeploy.
● Automation Scripting such as Powershell or Python.
● Participates in rotating on-call support 24x7 and is available to work weekends and/or holidays, as necessary.
● Available for occasional weekend deployment support.

Level 3 - $115,000 - $150,000
Level 4 - $140,000 - $175,000
