The Event Host works very closely with the store team and management to coordinate events and all organization aspects around it. In addition, there will be a regular interaction to local service providers and catering companies. Also, regular exchange with Event Hosts from other Miele stores in the country.

  • Take care of the active kitchen and hospitality zone and actively use Miele products to serve food during the opening hours and events.
  • Planning, organization, execution and evaluation of consumer and retailer events taking place in store. Maximization the input from events by identifying related sales opportunities and increasing consumer satisfaction.
  • To own profound knowledge of all Miele cooking appliances and food trends and to guarantee that consumers use their Miele appliances in an effective way. Constantly develop this knowledge further and transfer it to consumers and internal team member on a regularly basis.
  • To be responsible for implementing and maintaining food standards in the store and to identify areas of improvement on a regularly basis.
  • ·       Plan, organize and execute consumer and retailer events in store.

    ·       Maximize the output from events by actively promoting appliances, A&C and partner products.

    ·       Prepare and execute cooking demonstrations during the day while entertaining customers and providing a premium customer experience

    ·       Execute product advice on cooking appliances as required in order to ensure that consumers use their Miele appliances effectively, also if there is no event going on

    ·       Demonstrate product advantages and Miele benefits while preparing the food. Convince customers with results of products and highlight its benefits

    ·       Monitor and manage stock levels necessary for consumer and retailer events, thereby ensure to minimize waste.

    ·       Manage the activities of supporting staff (if necessary for consumer and retailer events).

    ·       Carry out food preparation for events.

    ·       Constantly develop knowledge and content regarding cooking appliances, recipe development and food trends.

    ·       Ensure constant sharing of expertise and knowledge transfer on cooking appliances towards team.

    ·       Ensure premium presentation and preparation of active and preparation kitchen and equipment.

    ·       Implement and maintain food standards in the store, compliant with national safe food handling regulations.

    ·       Determine areas of improvement (standards, processes etc.) on a regularly basis including a constant evaluation and review of the type of events and their execution

 Requirements:

  • Associates degree plus 3  years of experience within luxury retail showroom or sales experience preferred
  • Experience with CRM software (ideally SalesForce)
  • Must be highly detail oriented, accurate and organized
  • Effective communication skills: written, oral, negotiation, problem resolution
  • Quick learner, able to work and think independently as well as lead
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities within their region in alignment with company objectives

Pay range $50-$75K
