Major Duties / Responsibilities of Position:

  • Set-up and maintenance of all company wide bank accounts (approximately 400 accounts in numerous banks)
  • Maintain an Electronic Records of all bank accounts and pertinent information
  • Interface with bank personnel for various issues involving banking transactions and systems
  • Letters of Credit (L/C) Management
  • Coordinate issuance of new Letters of Credit between banks and Customers (Divisions)
  • Coordinate issuance of Amendments to Letters of Credit between banks and Customers (Divisions)
  • Reconcile with banks L/C report and issue monthly reporting of Letters of Credit
  • Track and coordinate with divisions and banks Letters of Credit coming up for expiration
  • Warehouse Line of Credit / Mortgage Cash Management desk
  • Receive daily fundings request (wire instructions and relevant escrow and home buyer info.) from Shea Mortgage divisions
  • Verify accuracy of instructions
  • Determine credit availability under the warehouse line of credit with US Bank (reconcile outstanding mortgages which form the borrowing base collateral for the credit line).  This involves reports supplied daily (electronically) from the bank.
  • Monitor cash position at US Bank (sweep or fund account as necessary).  This includes determining whether to pay down the warehouse line of credit or transfer to operating account.
  • Transmit (electronically) wire requests through US Bank systems.
  • Monitor and inform the Mortgage divisions of wires that have been sent.
  • Perform daily (if needed) Corporate online deposit of checks.
  • Back up Treasury Cash Management process in wire releasing
  • Provide Admin support of Treasury’s loan document signing process and various other agreements, including Notary.
  • Other Ad Hoc duties in support of the Treasury Department.

Background / Experience Required:

  • Minimum five years experience required in similar position with a progressive multi-layered company.
  • Experience in Treasury/Finance/Accounting field with a working knowledge of banking and credit transactions.
  • Certified Notary.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Letters of Credit preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of company personnel.
