Shape the First and Last Moments of the Guest Experience
This is a rare opportunity to shape how guests arrive, move through and depart Perisher each day – Australia’s largest alpine resort.
As Director, Base Experience, you will lead the teams responsible for Skitube, Transport, Fleet Maintenance and Building Maintenance – functions that collectively set the tone for every guest’s experience on the mountain.
Reporting to the VP & GM – Perisher, you’ll be one of the most senior leaders in the Australian business, with genuine autonomy to set direction, challenge convention and deliver impact at scale.
Your mandate is clear: elevate the arrival and departure experience, deliver safe and reliable operations, achieve strong financial outcomes, and lead high-performing teams through complex, highly regulated seasonal environments.
What You’ll Lead
- A peak workforce of up to 125 team members, supported by experienced technical and operational leaders
- End-to-end responsibility for arrival and departure experiences, including Skitube and resort transport
- Operational excellence across fleet and building maintenance
- Safety, risk and regulatory compliance across critical infrastructure and transport operations
- Financial performance across capital, operating and workforce budgets
- Operational readiness for Winter 2026, including asset strategies, systems uplift and leadership capability development
What You’ll Bring
- Senior leadership experience across resorts, tourism, transport, infrastructure or other highly regulated operating environments
- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams through seasonal scale and complexity
- Strong judgement across safety, risk, compliance and operational decision-making
- Commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, resources and competing priorities
- A leadership style that shifts teams from operationally focused to guest-experience-led, without compromising safety or reliability
