Digital Content Specialist

The Digital Content Specialist is a critical component towards achieving success across multiple brand websites (Schwinn, Mongoose, and Kid Trax). Working closely with the Brand and Product Marketing teams to bring our online and eCommerce vision to life in addition to the broader marketing team, you will play a key role towards activating our marketing strategy to support both our digital content and marketing. This role will ideally work out of Madison, WI but will work cross functionally with teams at Pacific Cycle and our sister company, Cycling Sports Group.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft, update, and maintain the brand voice and expression for Schwinn, Mongoose and Kid Trax product listings on our own company brand websites
  • Lead the Salsify projects related to creation, management, and optimization of properties required for website content
  • Collaborate with UI/UX, creative, and marketing teams on layouts, wireframes, navigation, and full customer experience journeys
  • Work with marketing & IT teams to define customer journeys, personas, and data collection strategy
  • Provide guidance to other Digital team members; share best practices
  • Become the subject matter expert of our CMS and other backend and 3rd party systems
  • Fully understand all site components including how they function and how they are configured
  • Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, and Product teams to define the customer journey and data collection strategy
  • Manage and communicate the development of product launch plans (asset/content management, regional product availability, translations, etc.)
  • Monitor, track, and analyze site performance using A/B testing
  • Implement SEO recommendations on all web development projects
  • Assist in troubleshooting CMS issues and other 3rd party integrations
  • Follow internal controls and company policies as set by the company and job function
  • Contribute to the success of the company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
  • 5 years of experience managing content and/or providing front-end development for an eCommerce website
  • Experience leading or mentoring others
  • Intimate knowledge of launching large scale online marketing campaigns
  • Experience managed consumer products through eCommerce
  • Familiar with A/B testing platforms (Google Optimize, Optimizely, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of responsive design, and mobile first best practices
  • Detailed knowledge of reporting suites such as Google Analytics
  • Experience managing content within Sitecore and/or Shopify is preferred
  • Experience optimizing landing pages for a variety of paid digital tactics
  • Experience in the bicycle industry or closely related sporting industry
  • Experience working with global teams in a virtual capacity
