                   Food & Beverage Supervisor

  • Participation in recruitment, orientation and training of all outlets employees in conjunction with the Human Resources and Outlets Managers
  • Coach; provide ongoing and specific performance feedback for the development of the team
  • Ensure that all department programs, service standards, policies and procedures are communicated and followed in a consistent and accurate manner
  • Ensure all employees conform to the provincial laws with respect to the service of alcoholic beverages
  • Lead by example and support team in providing professional excellence in guest service
  • Provide effective day to day communication to your team and provide shift briefings on a consistent basis
  • Ensure adequate scheduling for all shifts
  • Act as Manager on Duty when required, to support the leadership team
  • Address and respond to all guest related feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Complete and follow up on all reports as required
  • Work with employees to maximize revenues
  • Payroll submission
  • Scheduling and inventory
  • Participate in weekly Managers Meetings and Food & Beverage Meetings
  • Will be required to work on restaurant floor and at functions
  • Other projects as assigned



  • Must have previous Food & Beverage Supervisory/Leadership in a similar size environment
  • Previous inventory and scheduling and cost control experience
  • Previous experience in inventory and scheduling
  • Strong computer skills - Social media and internet savvy. Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word/Excel)
  • Must be positive, upbeat and have a passion for hospitality and guest service
  • Must be able to create rapport and relationships with internal and external guests
  • Proficiency in setting and attaining goals with exceptional organization skills
  • Complete all tasks with enthusiasm and strong attention to detail
  • Post secondary degree or equivalent in a recognized hospitality program would be an asset
  • Knowledge of local area and Nova Scotia required
  • Must be flexible in availability, inclusive of weekends, days, evenings and holidays
