POSITION: 

Bartender 

 

Welcome to Oak Island Resort & Conference Centre - Atlantic Canada's first resort and convention centre facility. Far away from the everyday, but only 45 minutes from Halifax!

We are looking for experienced bartenders who are passionate about exceptional service and creating memories for our guests of all ages in our food & beverage outlets!  Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available for our upcoming busy season.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide outstanding customer service in all interactions with guests
  • Fulfill guest needs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure complete knowledge of menu offerings
  • Required to handle cash and credit transactions and utilize POS system
  • Set up and close bars as per guidelines
  • Ensure all ingredients, products and glassware are prepared in advance
  • Complete tasks as assigned by Supervisor
  • Practice Responsible Beverage Service protocol
  • Promote teamwork, friendliness and courtesy
  • Serve food as required

 

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • Minimum 2 years experience bar and service experience
  • Strong mixology ability
  • Strong wine and food knowledge
  • Positive, professional attitude and presentation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to walk or stand for nearly 100% of each shift
  • Able to multitask and prioritize
  • Must be flexible in availability, inclusive of weekends, days, evenings and required holidays
