What your day will look like as a Aircraft Inspector:

Comprising those employees engaged in inspection of components, material, airframes, engines and aircraft systems in all stages of repair to ensure that the maintenance performed is in compliance with standards and specifications designatyed on drawings, manuals and applicable regulations. Required to certify for flight, any aircraft or components for which the individual is authorized. Inspectors shall also be responsible for all records, certification, and all regulations related to the aircraft being worked on and as well maintain and update logbooks. Must have a thorough knowledge of applicable civil aviation regulations, shop practices, aircraft and engine systems and performance.An aircraft inspector must qualify for a company issued Aircraft Certification Authority. Additional roles and responsibilities may be outlined in the Company Maintenance Policy Manual and applicable company procedures.                                                         

What is expected from a Aircraft Inspector:

To be classified as a Senior Aircraft  Inspector 5 the employee must meet and maintain the following minimum requirements:
•Ten (10)  years relevant aviation experience
•Five (5) years as a holder of an AME license
•Two (2) years with at least one (1) Company issued ACA
•Senior Aircraft  Inspector 4 status for a minimum of three (3) years

A senior Aircraft Inspector 5 must successfully complete a written exam based on the company's quality control and safety procedures, and Transport Canada regulations pertaining to their areas of responsibility.
