As an Outdoor Guest Services Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all guests in resort. With the assistance of the Guest Services Senior Supervisor, this position involves overseeing a team of ticket scanners and supervising the day-to-day operations to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain high standards of service.

In a typical day in this role, you might:

  • In conjunction with the Guest Services Senior Supervisor, develop and train staff in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of product knowledge.
  • Proactively supervise and mentor the Guest Services staff and appraise the performance of staff with the view to improving their skills and productivity.
  • Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Ticket Scanners ensuring that operational procedures are followed on a daily basis.
  • Assist Ticket Scanners with customer queries and complaints.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Previous seasonal experience as an Outdoor Guest Services (Ticket Scanning) attendant.
  • Confident levels of skiing or snowboarding (intermediate or advanced).
  • Demonstrated understanding of POS systems, with exposure to RTP being an advantage.
  • Excellent business communication skills both verbal and written.
  • A confident ability to have uncomfortable conversations with guests who have the incorrect ticket or pass.
  • Knowledge of Hotham’s systems and procedures (highly desirable).

Employment start dates will vary depending on the role and snow conditions, but most roles start in June and finish in late September.
