Vail Resorts own and operate ski areas including iconic resorts such as Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham in Australia as well as Park City, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb and Vail in North America. This role is based at Perisher, the largest ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere, located in the beautiful Snowy Mountains region of South-Eastern NSW and just a two-hour drive from Canberra and the Far South Coast.

In this role you will assist the Health, Safety and Environment team with all areas of health, safety, environment, compliance, review, reporting and continuous improvement. You will also work collaboratively with the HSE team across all 3 Australian resorts and provide HSE support as required.

In a typical day in this role, you might:

  •  Assist in incident and injury reporting
  • Conduct safety inspections across the resorts
  • Conduct waste audits and inspections across the resorts
  • Assist with fauna management
  • Conduct data analysis
  • Prepare HSE communications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Understanding of WHS legislation
  • Understanding of Ski area operations
  • Depth of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel
  • Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or Environment highly desirable
