TITLE OF SUPERVISOR:              Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Senior Vice President & CFO, the Director, Taxation will be responsible to manage and perform all taxation functions for IMP Group, it’s divisions, subsidiaries and affiliated companies.

  • Coordinate tax projects with external partners, government tax authorities and internal finance teams.
  • Complete all foreign and domestic tax filings, manage payments and reconcile associated assessments; coordinate and approve all externally prepared returns.
  • Perform various taxation audits.
  • Assist with potential acquisitions by performing tax due diligence; analyse tax implications of potential divestitures
  • Engage in annual dividend planning; complete all associated financial and administrative transactions
  • Review changes to financial policy and accounting alternatives; makes recommendations based on potential tax implications
  •  Ensure compliance with all relevant tax authorities by completing and submitting required documentation and declarations in a timely manner
  • Provide taxation updates to the senior executive as required

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will hold a CPA designation and possess 5 to 7 years’ experience in corporate taxation; completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Program preferred. The individual must possess superior analytical abilities, organizational skills, and be able to prioritize efficiently.  He/She will demonstrate a high degree of initiative and be highly motivated.  Must display flexibility and be adaptable to changing priorities and conditions.
