Eagleville Hospital, located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the treatment, education, and prevention of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and acute psychiatric disorders.  The hospital serves as a regional resource for the treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as a national resource for training and research for addiction and related conditions.  The hospital also houses a geriatric psychiatry unit, which is short-term program for clients aged 55 years and older in need of a secure, therapeutic environment.  The hospital also houses a 16-bed acute psychiatric unit.

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses for Evening Shift. You will be responsible for providing all basic nursing care to our patients. Shift Hours: 2:45 p.m. - 11:15 p.m. Required to work every other weekend and two additional shifts per pay as assigned.

You must:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

  • Have a current and valid Pennsylvania State RN License

  • Have a current certification in CPR/BLS

  • One-year med-surg. desired

  • Experience in a psychiatric setting and/or drug/alcohol facility preferred

  • Must have the ability to work 8 hr shifts, every other weekend and three holidays annually

.Physical Requirements

Occasional heavy lifting to assist in moving patients (approx. 100-350 lbs.).

Medium lifting of a minimum of 25-75 lbs. required on a regular basis to assist with

transporting items; e.g., patient belongings, supplies and equipment.  Extensive walking and standing while performing duties required; ability to push wheelchair to transport patients on campus; ability to climb at least three flights of stairs; good oral and written communication skills.

Work Environment

Staff various units and shifts as needed.  Work every other weekend and holidays as assigned.  Possible exposure to infectious diseases, required to respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies.
