What can you expect in this role?

Economical Insurance is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Corporate Strategy team to support a key strategic initiative. The candidate is required to support the operational planning, coordination and execution of communications, change management and other stakeholder engagement activities.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy, the successful candidate possesses prior experience executing Communications and Change Management projects in addition to strong organizational, planning and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to dynamic and changing situations.

 This is a contract untill the end of the year 2021.

  • Coordinate communications, engagement and change initiatives, activities, interventions and projects to build capacity and effectiveness across the internal organization and external stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, meeting minutes, action plans and status reports

  • Monitor and track project progress, handle any issues that arise, and report and escalate to management as needed

  • Organize, schedule and attend stakeholder meetings and assist with facilitation (if required)

  • Coordinate activities with external vendors and internal teams for successful and timely delivery of communications

  • Support and collaborate with internal design and content development teams to generate paper, spoken and digital communications materials

  • Ensure the right structures, people and communications are aligned to business objectives

  • Collaborate with teams and executive leaders across multiple functions

What do you bring to the role?

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a project coordination role supporting communications or organizational change management projects

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and executing stakeholder engagement campaigns

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field of study

  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Acute attention to detail and strong commitment to producing excellent work products

  • Proven ability to learn quickly and desire to gain expertise in new functional areas

  • A high degree of personal ethics, integrity and responsibility with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard confidential information.

  • Flexibility to commute between Economical offices in downtown Toronto and Waterloo
