Description

Responsibilities

  •  Assist communications team in developing and implementing the Training and Employment Funds (TEF) communications strategy and various communication initiatives
  • Collaborate with TEF departmental teams and leads to produce and develop communications assets for both internal and external distribution
  • Assist communications team in managing TEF-wide communications projects and requests, such as: printed materials, photography, videography, invitations, email blasts, website updates and more - ensuring that procedures are followed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Work in conjunction with Communications Manager and Project Coordinator to develop templates for internal use and maintain up-to-date project statuses in reporting tools
  • Support Communications manager and project coordinator with major events (i.e. BOT, Basil Paterson, Recognition Ceremony)
  • ·        Provide back-up administrative support to communications team, to ensure the department’s administrative functions are supported
  • Coordinate third-party vendors to complete communications projects as needed
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management

 

 Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Communications, Graphic Arts, Journalism, or related field required
  • Minimum two (2) years in graphic design or job-related experience in an office environment required
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Adobe suite applications preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, multitask, make sound judgments, and prioritize work assignments
  • Previous experience with and an understanding of social media, blog posts, articles, press releases, digital material
  • Ability to function well in a team dynamic with the ability to support aid and manage others 
  • Exceptional organizational and research skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage project effectively
