Description |
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily performance of staff
- Monitor and maintain acceptable standards of production and quality of work
- Interpret and implement fund policy including disciplinary action
- Administer and document corrective action when necessary
- Responsible for the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Review and resolve difficult claim inquiries
- Monitor and train new staff
- Monitor staff attendance
- Liaison with upper management
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of work experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience processing disability claims; to include (1) one year of experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of New York and New Jersey State workers’ compensation and disability benefit laws
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel and thorough knowledge of disability claims systems
- Excellence Leadership abilities i.e. (confidentiality, team motivator, exercise good interpersonal skills, and professional appearance)
- Ability to monitor staff and prepare weekly and monthly production reports
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining objectivity
- Must be organized, detail oriented, analytical, with ability to multi-task
